Regardless I want it fixed - anyone else have this issue? I'm literally ready to call an attorney just to see if making noise on that level will light a fire under someone's butt over at Spectrum. The number of subscribers keeps rising - its up to over 3 million customers, per the companys first. I know this might be an uphill battle but for one, they're screwing now with a portion of income, I'm paying for a business package and either their throttling me or there's some technical issue. T-Mobiles got to be feeling pretty pleased about its 5G home internet offering. And providers are getting smarter toothe odds that you bypass ISP throttling without a VPN are low. But at this point I'd like to escalate this further because I'm not getting what I'm paying for (On their business package I'm paying for 400/20). While Spectrum doesn’t impose data caps, the marketability of throttling leads to enough consumers inadvertently purchasing better plans, just to increase their overall connection speeds. The issue may or may not happen during this time who knows. I explain I've been through this song and dance before and want a resolution so they're sending a tech out Sunday between 6 - 7pm. I called their tech support and they said on their end they see that it keeps timing out so they want to send out a tech. Tonight I do another speed test, I'm back at 2mpbs. I'm directly hardwired into the modem no router, nobody else is on this. There is not a separate line but a splitter in the attic. So my home now has two accounts residential for the other three people and myself and my business line. It's literally only between these hours that it happens.īecause streaming is a portion of my income I have recently created my own account at this address and have a business line. My hardware isnt even a year old yet, and I dont rent modems and routers. Its definitely Spectrum throttling things. We've had techs out, replaced the equipment etc, but at this point they're just giving us the run around and/or when the tech comes out which is during the day the problem isn't happening so they just shrug and leave. Im paying for 500 down and even paying for extra upload speed (I need it for work and online school purposes) but right now Im downloading FarCry 5 via UbiSoft Connect, and its not gotten a single point above 22Mbps. This has been ongoing problem for months now. Can't stream when your upload speed is 2 mbps). Maybe no surprise I've streaming to twitch between those hours (or trying too. This happens between these hours almost every night. The issue I'm having with Spectrum and now fighting to get resolution on is between the hours of 7 - 11 pm EST my internet upload speed drops down to 2 mbps.
